
About the South Ga Vegetables Lab
The South Georgia Vegetables lab at the University of Georgia focuses on all aspects of vegetable production in Georgia, including variety performance, disease resistance, fertilizer, irrigation and alternative crops.
Under the direction of Dr. Ted McAvoy, the lab serves the vegetable industry by disseminating relevant information and providing practical data driven recommendations that increase productivity, sustainability and profitability.
Join the Team
We are accepting an M.S. student and a Research Intern for the Department of Horticulture Vegetable Program at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus. Research assistantships are available on a competitive basis.
